Dental implants are the most advanced form of fixed tooth replacement available today. They can be used for a variety of purposes like to replace a single tooth, Implant supported bridges (multiple teeth replacement without taking the support of adjoining teeth as in conventional bridge) or to stabilize a loose denture for efficient chewing with stability and support inside the mouth.

A typical Implant consists of a titanium screw resembling a tooth root with a roughened or smooth surface. These pure titanium implants are placed surgically into the bone and allowed to heal for a period orf 3-6 months so that they get firmly attached to the bone. Post integration of implants with the bone necessary prosthesis is fabricated to provide function and aesthetics to the patient.
