Root Canal Treatment

Root Canal Treatment is the most commonly done procedure in a dental clinic. It is generally indicated when the nerves and blood vessels present in the soft and innermost portion of the tooth called as Pulp are affected or infected. The most common causes for it are deep cavities extending to the pulp, traumatic fracture of teeth leading to exposure of the pulp or abcess formation under teeth as a result of trauma, bite problems or dental cavities.

The treatment involves removal of the infected portion of the pulp and filling it up with a inert filling material. At times it is the only procedure which can save a tooth from extraction and eliminate dental pain.

With the advancement in science, equipment and materials the procedure has become painless and two visit job of 30 minutes duration.
